Establishing NOMURA REAL ESTATE VIETNAM

Nomura Real Estate Holdings, Inc. (Head office: Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Eiji Kutsukake hereinafter “Nomura”) hereby announces the establishment of NOMURA REAL ESTATE VIETNAM CO., LTD, an overseas subsidiary in Vietnam.
Nomura is already engaged in rolling out a condominium for-sale project and in investing in an office building in Vietnam, and in positioning Vietnam among countries of particular importance as well as through the opening of a new Vietnam subsidiary, it seeks further advancement by enhancing local business team with the aim of participating in new development/investment projects in the rapidly developing country.

Proactive expansion of overseas business

The Nomura Real Estate Group has positioned its overseas business as a growth field in the new Mid- to Long-term Business Plan (from FY March 2020 to FY March 2028) announced in April 2019. Accordingly, it plans to invest approximately 300 billion yen in residential development and commercial real estate business by the term ending in March 2028, the majority of which will target Asian countries where demand for real estate is growing. Thus far, the Group has participated in development projects of condominium for-sale, serviced apartments and commercial facilities and has conducted investment in office buildings in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Bangkok, Thailand; Shenyang, China; and Manila, the Philippines, among other locations.

The Vietnam subsidiary will be the Group’s fifth local office in an Asian country following those in Beijing, China; Hong Kong; Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand. The Group looks to achieve “New Value, Real Value” in Asian nations that are expected to see continuing growth by utilizing its know-how cultivated through its housing and office businesses in Japan.
