Nomura Real Estate Vietnam is proud to announce that “Youth Park” at Vu Yen Royal Island’s The KOMOREBI area has officially achieved SITES® certification at the Silver level, becoming the first project in Vietnam to obtain SITES certification.
This achievement marks the successful progression of Youth Park from Vietnam’s first SITES® Pre Certification project to a fully certified landscape project. The earlier Pre Certification recognized the project’s sustainability commitment during the planning and design stage. The achievement of SITES® Silver certification now represents an important further milestone, demonstrating how those sustainability principles have been carried into the actual completed park.

From the early planning stage, Nomura Real Estate Vietnam deeply involved in shaping Youth Park’s environmentally conscious design approach. Sustainable strategies incorporated into the project included the use of native Vietnamese plant species and materials from regional sources, with the objective of reducing environmental impact while maintaining a high-quality and inclusive public green space.
More importantly, Youth Park demonstrates that sustainability can extend beyond design concepts and become part of the actual development, construction and long-term use of a place. The SITES® certification represents an important recognition of this journey and reinforces Youth Park’s role as a new benchmark for sustainable landscape development in Vietnam.
The project also reflects Nomura Real Estate Vietnam’s broader approach to real estate development: combining expertise cultivated in Japan with a deep understanding of local environmental needs in Vietnam.
Sustainability at Youth Park also goes beyond its physical landscape. Following completion, Nomura Real Estate Vietnam has continued to activate the park as a place for community interaction and well-being. In April 2026, a community yoga session was organized at the park to encourage residents to utilize its public amenities, strengthen community connections and promote environmental awareness and healthier lifestyles.

As a pioneering SITES®-certified project in Vietnam, Youth Park represents more than an achievement for a single development. It demonstrates how internationally recognized sustainability standards can be translated into practical landscape solutions that respond to Vietnam’s climate, environment and communities.
Building on this milestone, Nomura Real Estate Vietnam will continue to incorporate sustainability into its projects and proactively address environmental and social challenges. Through thoughtful planning, quality development and continuous engagement with local communities, the company aims to create lasting value for residents, cities and society while contributing to a more sustainable future for Vietnam.
