Summary

  • On 23rd July 2026, Nomura Real Estate Vietnam Co., Ltd. (NREV) signed a Social Deposit Agreement with Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank (VPBank)—the third initiative in its Sustainable Treasury program, following the Green Deposit (From June 2025 to early December 2025) and Pink Deposit (From December 2025 to June 2026).
  • Under VPBank’s Sustainable Finance Framework, the Social Deposit supports VPBank’s financing activities across six social pillars: MSMEs, women-led businesses, education, healthcare, social housing, and essential infrastructure.
  • This initiative underscores NREV’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and sustainable development in Vietnam.

Building Social Value Through Treasury

Turning Idle Capital into Community Impact

NREV’s treasury team has pioneered a new approach to corporate finance: rather than letting surplus funds sit idle, we actively channel them into deposits that create real social value for Vietnamese communities.
Since June 2025, the Sustainable Treasury Initiative has steadily grown—each new deposit building on the success of the last.

Timeline of Impact

From June 2025 to early December 2025 | Green Deposit — Environmental Protection
Our first initiative supported renewable energy, green buildings, and pollution prevention, aligning with Vietnam’s national climate goals.

From December 2025 to June 2026 | Pink Deposit — Children’s Education
We expanded our focus to education, partnering with the Highland Poor Students Fund and Vietnam Children’s Fund to build schools and broaden access to learning.

July 2026 | Social Deposit — Community Development
Our latest and most comprehensive initiative channels funds into six pillars that touch every aspect of community life: MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, education, healthcare, housing, and infrastructure.

What Is a Social Deposit?

A Social Deposit is a sustainable finance product through which VPBank allocates deposited funds to improve access to essential services. The six social pillars are:

  1. MSMEs: Expanding financial products and services for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises.
  2. Women Entrepreneurs: Supporting women-owned and women-led businesses to promote gender equality.
  3. Education: Providing access to education and vocational training, including for children and people with disabilities.
  4. Healthcare: Funding healthcare facilities to expand access to comprehensive medical services.
  5. Social Housing: Financing the construction and renovation of affordable housing for disadvantaged communities.
  6. Infrastructure: Supporting clean water, sanitation, transport, and telecommunications in underserved areas.

Our Commitment to Social Responsibility

As a Japanese-owned enterprise operating in Vietnam, NREV views these initiatives as more than financial transactions—they are strategic steps toward fulfilling social responsibility and promoting the development of local communities. By directing capital into impactful programs, NREV aims to create lasting, positive change across Vietnam.

Through close collaboration with local stakeholders and a commitment to building trust within communities, NREV remains dedicated to expanding its sustainable treasury program. Each deposit represents not only a financial decision but also a promise to support Vietnam’s social and economic progress.

“Green, Pink, and Social — and beyond. Deposit value into society value — NREV Sustainable Treasury.”

Guided by the phrase “Value for Capital, Value for Society,” NREV will continue growing its social-impact deposits, step by step toward a better future for Vietnam and its people.
